[This thread will be posted in 1st person, eg. 'I watched her go, as she padded off into the forest. I hissed.' And, this is supposed be a literate rp, so please post at least a paragraph, please! No text speak, etc. You know the drill.]
Like a shadow. Yes. That's me. The name's Shadowmist, but no one's payed attention to me since my apprenticeship. Well, I guess it's because I'm not likeable, or fun... nothing like them. I'm just quiet, sweet, and motherly... probably a little too motherly. But, that's not the point. This is my home, SilentClan, and it has been since I was a kit. Well, I wouldn't know my other home, or my kin, since I was brought to this Clan at such an early age. Techically I'm not of Clan blood... maybe that's it, maybe that's why some of them are ignorant. But, I'll never know.
My one goal in life is to train an apprentice, and live my life, happily, and have a sweet mate who will raise my kits, and be there for me... I'm not optimistic... I'm more realistic, I'd say, so I doubt my life's going to be easy. I'm a Clan cat, for StarClan's sake! Life isn't easy. Death's around every corner, and Leaf-bare's right around the corner. It's. Just. Life.
I lay there, in the grass, well, you could call it that. The grass is shriveled and damp, as it's covered in frost. It's early morning, and I'm the only one up. I'm waiting for the others to get up to see if I can go hunting on a patrol.
I purred gently to myself, this wasn't something I often did. I lay there, watching the sun gently rise up. I didn't often see this, no, and I liked it. It was... nice. It took my mind of things, as did hunting. There was nothing better than sinking your teeth into soft flesh, feeling blood gushing onto your teeth-. Should I really be thinking about killing? It seems a bit disrespectful to StarClan.
Just then, I caught a whiff of another cat drift over my scent glands. Well, the cat was from SilentClan anyway. Good, maybe would could go hunting together. I thought. I gathered up some courage and spoke.
"H-hello? I was wondering if you wanted to go hunting?"
It sounded pathetic, I know, but I'd never been much of a talker.

OOC: That's a very good post! :) Just a reminder, that you won't need to post specifics of the thread, as what you've just outlined is exactly what this forum is about ;). Also, I know Tay sort of accepted you already, so I'll excuse it for now, but next time, could you please wait for roleplaying with you cat until it's been moved to the Created board? Thanks :).
Silverclaw, I stalked through the undergrowth. It had been a while since I had entered this far into my former clan's territory. In fact, I shouldn't even be here now, but a reckless burst of energy sent me charging in, deeper and deeper, until I had arrived only several fox-lengths away from the SilentClan's camp.
I sat there for a couple moments, watching, and observing.I recognized this place. I could practically sense the childhood memories. All the times I had come here, rolling on the ground in a play-fight with my littermates, and friends. A wave of nostalgia brought me back to my senses. Shut up, there all dead! You don't want to go back there. Remember Gingerberry? He wasn't much good to you anyway...
After a bit more watching, he realized a little way of, a cat was dozing. Is that- Shadowpaw|? The last time I had seen the him, he was but just a little scrap, just out of the nursery. I snorted. Still the lonely type he was then.
Suddenly I saw Shadowsomething's ears pricked, and I sat up alert, but careful not to give my position away. A feeble noise escaped the young warrior's mouth.
"H-hello? I was wondering if you wanted to go hunting?"
I glanced around, confused. Who's he talking to? Is he talking ot me? Slowly, a thought dawned on me. Oh, StarClan, don't tell me that fox-stench still clings to my fur? I thought in exasperation.
I had indeed only been a couple moons since I had left the starclan-forsaken place, but I had thought that all traces of my past would have been erased. I wanted nothing more to do with that pitiful clan... I gritted my teeth, but I resisted the urge to jump out and tear apart those ears that were still straining to hear my every move.
I pushed the thought away, and concentrated on my situation. Shadowsomething knew I was here. If I took so much as one step, he would hear. Why did I get myself into this? I thought, desperately looking for a way out.
Well, only one option. Sneak away and hope he wouldn't notice. If I and his former clanmate had been anywhere else, I would indeed have ripped his ears off, but I didn't dare do that now.
Slowly, and quietly, I took a step back. Snap! StarClan, No!

[Thanks. Okay, yes, I will. :3 Sorry, I didn't know whether I was allowed to post yet or not... I guess I should have messed a Mod ^___^']
I flicked my ears as I picked up a slight whiff of fox-dung along with the scent of a SilentClan cat. I wondered why they were hiding, or if they weren't... why could I smell this scent so strongly? I was positive that no cat would be up at this time, but I didn't think that a scent would linger in the air since the last hunting patrol. I kept listening, and feeling the scent wash over my scent glands, in the silence, all I could hear was the occasional bird with a call as sweet as honey ring out through the landscape. But, as the morning chorus had already passed, it was fairly silent. My ears were pricked, ready to detect even the faintest noise that might echo through the snowy landscape. I opened my mouth to taste the air once more, tasting the scent of cat once again. Now, I was positive there was another cat nearby.
I then heard a twig snap nearby, as the crack's harsh noise bounced off the frosty landscape. The sickening noise made my fur stand on end, making me have a faint memory of something I couldn't remember, a cracking of a neck, a cry of pain and death, and tears running down a cat's cheeks. I didn't know what it was, but it was weird. I shook my head of those thoughts and then realised that if there was a cracking twig, there must be someone there who's trying to conceal themselves. I hissed and my fur still stood on end. My tail swished from side to side as I gently got up and opened my mouth once more to let the scent wash over my scent glands. The scent... it was so strong! I flicked my ears once more, and my whiskers twitched with annoyance. I hated my life, well, I didn't hate it, but I did hate the fact that everyone ignored me.
"If you're there, you might as well come out." I hissed, and then sighed to myself, as my voice once more rang out through the landscape, bouncing off boulders and snow-covered leaves and fronds. Once more, a pitiful attempt to start a conversation, but even I knew that to start a conversation you didn't need to sound all rude. But if this... cat... was going to be ignorant to me, I don't see why I should be kind.
I glanced around the frosty ground, as snow didn't lay there at this time. I scuffed at the ground with my paw. I growled in a low tone. I let my midnight blue eyes flicker around for any trace of cat. Nothing.
[Oh, and so you know, Shadowmist is female. :3]

OOC: All right, Silverclaw's a tom. Did I call Shadowmist male..?
Silverclaw, I silently cursed myself for my clumsiness. Just by looking at Shadowsomething, I could see that she had heard. The way the cat stood up, cautiously. The way her tail rhythmically swept along the ground. The way she opened her mouth to taste my scent on her tongue.
"If you're there, you might as well come out."
No escaping it now. If I'm lucky, she might like me, and hold her tongue. She might not even remember me, and what I'd done, though I didn't consider that probable. One look at Gingerberry was enough to make one remember. Charm, Silverclaw, and inwardly I laughed. I was anything but charming, yet for now, it was my only hope.
Taking a deep breath, I took a step forward, out of the shadows. I kept my head down, in hope she wouldn't recognize me, and for once I was grateful that the moon was but a thin line, not allowing much light to hit my face.
"Hello, Shadow..." I faltered. Shadow what?. "Shadow Something." Hidden by the shade of night, I let my face stretch into a cruel grin, but my voice remained sweet. "I'm sorry, your full name seems to have slipped my mind."
I paused, ready to set up my disguise. "I'm a rogue, Twiggy. Sorry to have entered your territory... I live on the outskirts of what you call Ice Caves, and I've heard a lot about your clan." It sounded feeble, but with a bit of luck, Shadowsomething would fall for it.
I allowed himself a quick glance up at her face, to see her reaction. She betrayed nothing on her face yet. For a moment, it struck me how beautiful she actually was, with her long, almost blue fur, and her kind, young face. [/blockquote]

[Yes, you did. xD Hm, well, my post didn't make it obvious, except I said she was 'motherly'... can males be motherly? :3 I don't know... x3]
I glanced around once more, half anxious, half excited. I then heard the gentle padding of another cat's paws on the soft, frosty ground, and my fur bristled slightly at the sound of the crunching frost on the frozen grass. I shivered and then saw that tom cat had appeared from his hiding place. As he slowly came closer, I could detect a scent that definitely wasn't Clan. I narrowed my eyes slightly and looked at him through my beady eyes. I then heard him speak to me, I tried not to be too rude, and I was happy to listen. Maybe.
"Hello, Shadow..." He paused and then spoke again, but I didn't change my patronizing gaze. Shadow?! I hissed under my breath, too quiet for him to hear. "Shadow Something." I saw his smile looked slightly twisted and evil, but his voice didn't show any malice. "I'm sorry, your full name seems to have slipped my mind." Well, he didn't seem bad, but he wasn't a Clan cat, and I knew that, after joining SilentClan, most of them weren't as nice as my Clanmates.
I then stopped narrowing my eyes and just stared at the tom in front of me, his dark pelt and his dark eyes. He was rather handsome, actually... I shook my head No, no! No time to go chasing after cats who aren't Clan-blood! Get over yourself. My mind hissed at me. I shook my thoughts away and went back to the present.
He then paused again, and I narrowed my eyes, if possible, even narrower. He spoke again. "I'm a rogue, Twiggy. Sorry to have entered your territory... I live on the outskirts of what you call Ice Caves, and I've heard a lot about your clan." I looked at him angrily. My pelt bristled, my claws were unsheathed, and I did feel the anger rising in my chest like a caged animal.
"But may I ask why you're in my territory?" I hissed, though I was feeling sceptic about this tom. Something was off about him... something that didn't make me believe him. But it's not like I care, and it's not my business.
I shook my pelt and just glared at him, but not trying to let my sceptic, narrowed eyes, and snarling grin take away my good looks. Wait... did I just say that?

OOC: Oops XD Sorry
Silverclaw, My gaze didn't waiver as she answered.
"But may I ask why you're in my territory?"
It was a fair question, really, though I couldn't help feeling slightly annoyed at her nosiness. I bowed my head though, as if I was truly sorry for my deed, while I tried to think of what to tell her. I could tell her why I really went into SilentClan territory, I suppose... My mind murmured. It won't matter if she knows that... But then I'll have to explain what connection I have to SilentClan that made me come in the first place.
I glanced back up, ready with my reply, and looked her for a moment. Her eyes were narrowed to slits, and her gaze told me she was highly unhappy with my sudden appearance. At least she had lay down her fur, rather then the puffball she had been before. But really, if you looked past the obvious, she was... pretty... Shut up. My mind said again. She's from SilentClan, the clan that you are hated by!
"I'm sorry, I don't have a valid explanation for it... To tell you the truth.. I was curious of your territory, and strayed to far.. I've always been curious with your clan, but it's not like my own ways, so I haven't asked to join." The last I had added on quickly, when I'd realized I can't have her asking me to join the Clan because I'm so curious about their ways... "Again, I'm sorry." He hesitated, then added innocently, yet slightly provocative, "I'll leave if you want me to."

I saw him dip his head to me, and then I felt a bit sorry for him. Although he didn't look that friendly, crouching in the frosty grass, his head dipped, he didn't seem all that bad. I purred gently, I was glad he was displaying some respect for me, but I wasn't going to let him suffer any longer. I let my claws retract and my fur once again lay flat. My bushy, erect tail went slightly limp and I letting it gently waver from side to side. I looked at him with my gentle blue gaze, and then heard him reply.
"I'm sorry, I don't have a valid explanation for it... To tell you the truth.. I was curious of your territory, and strayed to far.. I've always been curious with your clan, but it's not like my own ways, so I haven't asked to join." He paused for a moment, but my expression wasn't all that soft now, as I sceptically narrowed my eyes and just listened, though my fur still lay flat. "Again, I'm sorry." I heard him hesitate to speak, but any cat could guess what he was going to say next. "I'll leave if you want me to."
I looked at him and paused my narrowed eyes, blinked, and opened them wide, looking at him through my midnight-blue gaze. I just purred gently again and looked at him, with his head dipped, being submissive. It was weird to see a cat that was almost at my mercy, looking slightly frightened. I decided it wasn't fair.
"You can look up if you want, I'm not angry,"I mewed in my soft voice like the gentle caress of rose petals in the spring. I paused for a moment, then continued. "And even if I was angry, and did attack you, I'm pretty sure a cat with your build could fight back." When I finished what I was saying, I realised what I'd said did sound pretty... flirty. I felt my fur grow hot and then laughed lightly under my breath, and shifted my paws, and continued. "I don't really have the right to question why you're here, I guess. You are pretty deep in my territory, but I'm not going to harm you, if you don't harm me." I felt myself relax. I just hope he actually has a personality how he's acting now. Not something hidden behind that handsome smile... wait! What am I saying?! I mean, he doesn't look... too... aggressive! "But, I don't think Emberstar would be too happy if he found you on SilentClan territory. I, myself, don't mind." I purred once again, cursing my mind silently.

OOC: your reply made me laugh
Silverclaw, She seemed to soften a bit after my words... What surprised me even more, is that she began to purr, as her eyes opened wide to reveal a gentle, and kind gaze. It reminded me slightly of the one my mother, and the way she always looked at me, and my littermates...
"You can look up if you want, I'm not angry," Her voice found her way to my ear, musical tones of cheer, and many more indescribable things... "And even if I was angry, and did attack you, I'm pretty sure a cat with your build could fight back." I looked up and raised my eyebrow at this comment, and noticed that Shadowmist was silently chuckling at her own words. Did she truly mean to say that...? "I don't really have the right to question why you're here, I guess. You are pretty deep in my territory, but I'm not going to harm you, if you don't harm me." She continued, picking up swiftly. "But, I don't think Emberstar would be too happy if he found you on SilentClan territory. I, myself, don't mind."
I laughed at this, and surprised even myself with what I said next. "Well, if you'd like me, I'll come more often." Idiot! My mind immediately screamed at me, yet still I added softly. "No matter what Emberstar thinks..." Come on?! What happened to the strong warrior you vowed to be!? To the promise to yourself that no cat would ever get the better of you?! Even my mind stopped its thought processing now. Could it really be...?
"I'm sorry... " I mumbled, this time genuine, and almost clumsy. "I really shouldn't be here..." I paused. Then, completely out the blue, unacceptable, and stupid, I said; "Do you want... to meet again? At the ice caves... perhaps...?" My voice faltered. You're ridiculous, and pathetic. My inner me stated, but it had resigned to my peculiar behaviour.

[Haha, really? Yours made me laugh a bit, actually. :l Lol. SilverClaw's cute... xDD]
I saw him raise his head, and his eyes met mine. They were a gorgeous pale green with pale brown and yellow tinges to the edges. They made me melt... I stood there, taking in his bright gaze, neither of us taking our eyes off each other. He then looked a bit nervous at my words. I gently shifted my paws, feeling my pelt grow hot again. I purred gently. It's nice to have company. I thought. I've never been appreciated before.
He then said something that made my insides crawl and I almost felt like laughing my head off. "Well, if you'd like me, I'll come more often. If that question wasn't asking me to just fall over with embarrassment and joy, what was? He paused for a moment, and his tone became softer. I could almost feel his soft tones washing over me, gently easing away all the pain and sadness I had endured in my life. Wait... what? I asked myself. Then, without much hesitation, he spoke again. "No matter what Emberstar thinks..." I looked at him through my deep blue eyes and felt my heart skip a beat. He's asking me to meet up with him! I didn't think a tom would ever say that to me... but... he's not a Clan cat... is this right? I thought, then shoved them away as I trembled slightly. I knew this was wrong, but I couldn't shove away an opportunity to have some fun and make new friends... couldn't I just... I gulped Not betray my Clan? But I wasn't going to pass this up, no way.
"I'm sorry... " My heart stopped beating for a second, or that's what it felt like. Everything around me seemed to go cold. H-he's sorry? I thought. H-he shouldn't be s-sorry. What I said seems to have lead him on... oh StarClan, this is my fault! I then waited for him to speak again, his voice was faltering with stutters and soft, and he sounded so sweet. I did feel genuinely sorry for him. He then mewed again in his soft voice, their serenading tones sent shivers down my spine WHAT?! "I really shouldn't be here..." He looked sad, and I felt like breaking down and crying right now. Why was he beating himself up? He was just on my territory! It wasn't a crime... and I didn't mind. He continued, looking at me with his pale green eyes. "Do you want... to meet again? At the ice caves... perhaps...? I saw so much emotion embedded in his deep gaze... I felt my heart skip a beat once more. I felt glad he was picking himself up again, and I really wasn't going to miss this opportunity. I purred gently once more and looked at him, with such passion and faith you wouldn't have guessed I'd just met this tom, or that we weren't from the same Clan or something.
"S-sure... that's fine with me," I mewed, not letting my gentle rumbling purrs ruin my speech, or my nervousness get the better of me. "I mean... I'd love to! You sound like a cat I'd like to know, even if you aren't from my Clan. I paused for a second and then replied. "I really would like to talk to you again... and get to know you better. I had to mentally beat myself up for saying that. I should never trust my brain, or my subconscious... seriously!
